After the bombs dropped onto the earth, people have been struggling to survive. People of once a flourishing community were wasted to rubble, just like the city they were in. From the ashes, people started to rebuild society, creating the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth broke into different factions, one of which is the Institute. They worked with people of the Commonwealth, helping and working with people and using their advanced technology like androids, or synths.
